Job Description:/h3:
Provide management on construction projects ranging up to 10 Million Plus.
:5 years experience in Federal government or
commercial/industrial construction project management and estimating
:B.A./B.S. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture REQUIRED
:Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
:Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word (test will be given to evaluate proficiency)
:Excellent plan and specification reading skills
:Well developed organizational skills
:Good interpersonal skills
:Must pass government security clearance standards
:Must pass pre:employment drug screen test if hired
:Good driving record, valid license : insurable through the company
:Able to lift to 50 pounds
:Pass a drug test
Preference given to those with the following:
:LEED Training / COE Training
:Experience in Sage Project Management preferred
:Experience in AutoCAD preferred
:Scheduling knowledge : Primavera P3/P6/SureTrak experience preferred
Description of Duties:
Manage projects ranging up to 10 Million plus. Report to a SR Project Manager while providing assistance in the following general duties:
Development of the project staff
Coordinating on:site with corporate office activities
Organizing and overseeing jobsite administration
Organizing and coordinating field supervision
Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
Developing, monitoring, updating, and communicating the progress schedule and its periodic revisions
Managing the direct labor force and maintaining labor relations
Managing subcontractor schedules, quality:of:work, coordination with other trades, and payments
Coordinating cost:progress targets with production
Creating and maintaining a safe/secure jobsite environment
Identifying and resolving all changes
Establishing and maintaining relationships with the Owner, design professionals, building officials, local businesses, and police and fire departments
Establishing, maintaining, conducting, and policing detailed procedures for the submittal, review, coordination, approval, and distribution of shop drawings, samples, etc.
Establishing and maintaining all project engineering files relating to subcontract and bid package records, plans, specifications, changes, clarifications, and as:built documents
Reviewing all vendor schedules of values and preparing the general schedule of values
Managing the periodic requisition procedure for review, submittal, and payment
Expediting vendor estimates and proposals and preparing appropriate company estimates and proposals
Evaluating subcontractor payment requisitions relative to actual work performed
Job will require travel and job site inspections. All applicants must provide at least 4 professional references with current phone numbers (no immediate family members) as well as past salary history and salary requirements in order to be considered.
