Job Description
A manufacturing engineer position located in the Engineering Department of AES with the intent of providing engineering support in the manufacturing of sheet metal parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and related tooling.

• Plans and designs manufacturing processes as related to the manufacturing of individual and production quantity details, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
• Maximizes efficiency by analyzing tooling, workflow, processes, and assembly methods.
• Determines parts and tooling needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to the product specification.
• Maintains updated configuration and records for manufactured products as assigned by supervising manager.
• Reverse engineers form and design as required, including possible refurbishment of existing assemblies or vehicles.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected
• Works under general supervision.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering field or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the sheet metal fabrication field
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
• Capable of interfacing with shop personnel, venders, and subcontractors to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Experience in configuration management, product planning, and government contracts a plus.

Additional Information
Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Hours: Monday through Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm
