EO/AAThis position performs duties associated with Magnetic Resonance Imaging.This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to State Law.Scans patients according to protocols and parameters with knowledge of trouble shooting MRI systemsArchives patient examsConfidently starts IVA?sAdapts to different MRI environment (1.5T MRI machines, 3T MRI machines, and MRI machines in the Operating RoomsFunctions in different patient monitoring systems throughout the University Hospital and ClinicsFollows MRI safety guidelines according to University of Utah policyKnowledge / Skills / AbilitiesAbility to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served.QualificationsLicenses RequiredOne of the followingARRT Registration as Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T. (MR) (AART).ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technician R.T. ( R) (ARRT).Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card through American Heart Association or obtain within one month of hire.Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah.* Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.PreferredThree years of technical experience.Working Conditions and Physical DemandsEmployee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects, such as medical equipment, or patients while providing medical care.Carrying, Climbing, Color Determination, Crawling, Far Vision, Lifting, Listening, Manual Dexterity, Near Vision, Non Indicated, Pulling and/or Pushing, Reaching, Sitting, Speaking, Standing, Stooping and Crouching, Tasting or Smelling, Walking
